Lou Sanchez

Program Coordinator - Merry Oaks International Academy

Lou Sanchez was originally born in Peru but came to Charlotte with her family when she was 7. She attended Appalachian State University where she got her degree in Political Science. After several internships in politics, she decided to pursue her passion, which was education. She completed a year of service with AmeriCorps in Greensboro with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, serving as an Education Program and Volunteer Coordinator. She believes her experiences providing academic support to children of different backgrounds has led her to Heart Math Tutoring. She is very excited to continue bridging that gap in education for all children. ‘I believe building a strong foundation for math can unlock countless possibilities for students and their communities.’
