Kate Blanton

Program Manager

Kate graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications. After returning to her hometown of Charlotte, she gained experience working with a local nonprofit before deciding to pursue a career working with children and families. Kate attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and earned her Masters of Arts in Education and Child and Family Studies, with a focus in special education. Since graduating, Kate has worked as a preschool teacher, tutor, and a special education teacher for middle and high school students. Kate is passionate about bringing people together to provide resources to children all over Charlotte and believes that by connecting students, teachers, and volunteers within the community, we can encourage an excitement and confidence around learning and in life!
