Cydney has been working in the education and nonprofit space for over a decade, spending 10 years in Charlotte before relocating to Raleigh, NC. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Cydney began her career as a middle school teacher and facilitator in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools before serving as Program Director of Heart Math Tutoring for six years. She is excited to return to HMT as the Executive Director of National Partnerships. She holds a Nonprofit Essentials Certificate from Wake Forest University and has completed the Management Development Program hosted by the Harvard Business School Club of Charlotte. Cydney firmly believes that students thrive when their unique instructional and emotional needs are met at an individual level. She is strongly committed to ensuring that all children are given the opportunity to have an excellent education.
