Jennifer Brown

Charleston Outreach and Program Coordinator- Charleston Progressive

Jennifer was born in Washington, DC, but grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. Jennifer graduated from North Carolina Central University with a BS in Criminal Justice. She earned her master’s in organizational leadership from Springfield College. Jennifer prides herself on being a Community Advocate, ensuring that all members of her community have a seat at that table so that access to the American Dream is a reality for all. Jennifer is active with Trident United Way, the YWCA in Greater Charleston, the City of Charleston Commission on Women,  Cradle to Career, and other Community Advocate Organizations. She has started several programs that support youth in meeting state standards in education and assistance with soft and job readiness skills and college readiness. She has also created programs for adults to help them obtain livable wage jobs and provide more opportunities for their families. Jennifer is a proud mother of one son and is eager to join the Heart Math Tutoring team.
