Joan Herbert

Program Coordinator Specialist

Joan Herbert has a B.A. in early childhood education from UNC-Chapel Hill. After graduating from college she taught for three years in K-3 and three years in middle school math in the Gaston County School System.  Joan left education to pursue a career in sales for over twenty-five years. She knew that someday she would return to the field of education.  Joan believes Heart’s approach of one-on-one instruction using community volunteers makes a measurable impact on the lives of CMS students.
