Kathleen Kavanaugh
Extended Learning Program Coordinator- Pinewood Elementary
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Kathleen has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elementary Education. For the past decade she has worked with elementary aged students in grades K-5 providing small group instruction. She taught 3rd grade for four years in St. Louis. She moved to Charlotte two years ago, and taught 3rd grade at Clover School District in South Carolina. Kathleen is so excited to be part of the Heart team, working as an ELPC to help support students, teachers, and volunteers. She strives to build positive relationships with her students and believes every student can be a successful life-long learner!
