Kristine Motte

Program Coordinator- Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts Elementary

Kristine, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she earned a B.A. in elementary education. Always having felt a calling towards education, she started her educational career in the city of Columbia, South Carolina. She served as a volunteer in local schools and helped cultivate community involvement. Kristine moved back to Charleston in 2017 to teach at a new charter, Mevers School of Excellence, located in Goose Creek, South Carolina. During her 5 years with MSE, she led her fifth grade-level team, coordinated volunteer tutor-student relationships, and mentored and coached fellow teachers in their instructional practices and technology integration. Kristine also spent 2 years in the DD2 public school system. There she joined the Joseph R Pye team, and assisted in the implementation a new gifted curriculum that fostered the use of technology in the classroom. Kristine believes all students deserve access to the tools and programs that will allow them to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
