Heart-at-Home Video Lessons
At Heart Tutoring, we believe that math practice can be fun, and we are excited to share some of our favorite math games with you! Follow along with these guided videos to practice math games from our Heart Tutoring Notebooks. Each section includes a description of the math skill, guided videos, printable instructions (English & Spanish), and virtual materials as needed. Counting Practice
When students practice counting, they are keeping track of items, holding amounts in their heads, and getting comfortable with the order of numbers. With enough practice, students will eventually be able to use their number sense to tell ‘one more’ and ‘one less’ than a number without recounting.

Combinations to 10 Practice
In Heart’s Combinations to 10 Notebook, students practice composing and decomposing numbers to 10. We want students to be able to determine the missing piece of a number without counting and in less than 3 seconds. When students can work with any number up to 10 and break it into parts and put the parts together with ease, they will be able to work flexibly and powerfully with larger numbers.
