Google Fiber and Wells Fargo Provide School Sponsorship-level Grants to Heart Math Tutoring
05.16.2016We are excited to announce several new grant awards that will help Heart serve additional students in the 2016/17 school year! Through a $25,000 sponsorship from Google Fiber, Heart will be expanding to Merry Oaks International Academy! Wells Fargo will sponsor Heart’s school site at Billingsville Leadership Academy for the third consecutive year with a grant of $30,000.

Heart Math Tutoring Launches Funding Initiative to Double School Partners
02.24.2016Goal is to fund 15 CMS school sites in 2016/17 school year
We are proud to announce that we have launched our funding initiative for the 2016/17 school year. Our goal is to double our number of school partners and reach 15 CMS school sites! The plan is to raise $750,000 by June 30, 2016 to support 750 students and 860 volunteer tutors across 15 schools in 2016/17. Heart Math Tutoring Honors Volunteers at Second Annual HeartThrob Event
02.12.2016Heart kicked off February with its Second Annual HeartThrob event! The sold-out event had 260 guests at Draught on Friday, Feb. 5 for an evening of fun and celebration to honor the work of Heart’s young professional tutors, who make up almost half of Heart’s volunteer base. Ticket sales from the event benefitted Heart, and event sponsors included BB&T, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, 9Round Dilworth, Java Joes, T. Reid and Company Salon & Spa.

GEM Grant Helps Heart Math Tutoring Expand Impact on Social Mobility in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jan. 19, 2016 – A $50,000 grant from Global Endowment Management Foundation (GEM), has helped Heart Math Tutoring (Heart) – a nonprofit group dedicated to helping students in high-poverty concentration schools develop math skills and academic confidence – expand its impact on social mobility in Charlotte.

North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation Awards Heart Math Tutoring $25,000 Grant to Expand Program
12.21.2015Heart Math Tutoring is proud to announce that we have received a $25,000 grant from the North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation’s Ribbon of Hope program to expand the volunteer math tutoring program to a new school site for the 2016-17 school year.
