April 3, 2024
Heart’s Chief Executive Officer, Emily Elliott Gaffney, was recently interviewed on the Francene Marie Show, a radio show that airs weekly on six stations in Charlotte!
During the interview, Francene Marie asked about Heart’s program model of using volunteers as tutors, the impact tutors have in schools, and the philanthropy that supports the delivery of tutoring at 26 schools across Charlotte.
Gaffney also shared a few recent anecdotes from tutoring, including: “[a] student said to her tutor a couple of weeks ago, ‘I don’t know what’s happening to me, but math is getting easier!’” Hear more Heart student stories shared during the show by listening below or visiting: https://omny.fm/shows/francene-marie/heart-math-tutoring-has-a-formula-for-success
