2025/26 Program Results

Thank you to all community members who supported Heart Math Tutoring students in 2025/26! Heart’s tutors and donors in Charleston, Charlotte, and Winston-Salem gave the time and resources to provide over 1,500 students across 33 schools with high-quality, individualized tutoring at no cost to students’ families.

Heart is excited to announce 2025/26 program results across the Carolinas:

• 97% of 1^st-5^th grade students grew in two or more concepts, meeting program growth goals. These students grew in an average of 4.6 concept areas!
• 92% of teachers believe their Heart students showed increased confidence and enthusiasm for math.
• 96% of families gave a score of 9 or 10 when asked the likelihood they would recommend the program to others.
• 98% of volunteers rated their tutoring experience as positive.
• 2025/26 was Heart’s first full year serving our youngest learners, kindergarteners, and 86% of kindergarten students showed growth in at least 1 concept area!
